Gunmen abduct Imo monarch Anthony Iwuoma

The traditional ruler of Umuezeala-Ama ancient kingdom in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Aloy Igwe, was on Saturday abducted by gunmen.

This is coming on the heels of the kidnap on Sunday of two other monarchs in the state, Acho Ndukwe and Paul Ogbu whose palaces were also torched. However, whereas Ndukwe was rescued 24 hours later, Ogbu’s whereabouts have remained unknown.

The latest victim was reportedly kidnapped at the Nkwo Umuezeala market square. It was gathered that his abductors, who were wielding guns intercepted and forced him into their vehicle and sped off. The Igwe’s whereabouts have not been ascertained since then.
