Again, bandits strike, kidnap students in Sokoto

No fewer than 15 Tsangaya students, have been reportedly abducted by bandits in Gidan Bakuso in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State, with many others missing.

 

 

 

The students were abducted from their school.

The attack is coming not long after bandits also recently abducted about 287 primary school pupils and their teachers abducted in the Kuriga community, Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

 

 

 

According to Liman Abubakar, the proprietor of the school, who spoke to newsmen: “As they were leaving the town, they sighted our students rushing into their rooms and they kidnapped many of them.

 

 

 

“We have so far counted 15 who are missing and we are still searching for more.”

 

 

 

Kabiru Dauda, the member representing Gada-East Constituency in the state House of Assembly, confirmed the incident but the Sokoto State Police Command, however, denied knowledge of the attack.
