A diesel-laden tanker, on Tuesday morning, lost control and exploded around Ikotun area of Lagos State but thankfully, no lives or property were lost.
Following the raging inferno, residents in the area scampered for safety.
The driver of the tanker was allegedly speeding when he lost control of the vehicle, which eventually went up in flames, having struggled in vain to steady it.
Director General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident, but added that normalcy had been restored to the area.
He said, “On arrival at the scene by first responders, it was observed that a fully loaded tanker with diesel had a brake failure and subsequently lost control, falling off the road which caused an explosion and fire outbreak.
