Daji takes over as the 39th FOC, Western Naval Command

Rear Adm. Oladele Daji on Tuesday formally took over as the 39th Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

At the ceremony held in Apapa, Lagos, Daji’s predecessor, Rear Adm. Obed Ngalabak, handed over the division’s flag to the new FOC after signing the handing and taking over notes.

NAN reports that highlight of the occasion was the review of parade and march past, while the old flag was lowered and the new one hoisted.

The out-gone FOC, in his brief remark, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Adm. Ibok Ibas, for the opportunity given to him to serve.
