New Anambra NSCDC commandant assumes duty

Mr David Bille, the new Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra command, has assumed office in Awka, an official has said.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Peace Egbe, stated this in a statement issued to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Monday.

The statement added that Bille took over from Mrs Obiageli Obiajulu, on September 2 and had commenced familiarization tour of some of the corps’ formations in the state.
The new commandant until his transfer to Anambra was the Commandant in-charge of Administration NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja.
He was said to have previously served as commandant in Anambra, Niger and Adamawa states, among other positions at the corps’ headquarters, Abuja.
NAN learnt that Bille, a certified non-violent and conflict management expert, holds bachelor and master degrees from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. (NAN)
