Operatives of the Nigerian Army has reportedly rescued two more of the Chibok schoolgirls abducted eight years ago.

Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad, disclosed that troops of 21 armoured Brigade rescued the girls, identified as Hannatu Musa and Kauna Luka, in Bama Local Government Area on July 26.

The girls had reportedly escaped from Gazuwa camp, a known major enclave of the Jama’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihad, a faction of the Boko Haram sect, formerly known as Mantari and Mallum Gabchari, Masari, located about a few kilometres to Bama town, following intensive offensives by the troops of Operation Hadin Kai, which adversely affected the terrorists’ enclaves.

It was gathered that the troops are currently profiling the two girls in Bama before they would be reunited  with their families.

Heavy bombardment of the terrorists seem to have disorganised their camp, resulting in the escape of some of the girls, who were abducted from their school on April 14, 2014. Two other girls, Mary Dauda and Hauwa Joseph, were also rescued by the troops recently after escaping from the camp.
