Michel Platini arrested over allegation of awarding World Cup 2022 to Qatar

Michel Platini has been arrested over the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar in December 2010.

The 63-year-old was elected as UEFA president in 2007 until he was banned by the FIFA Ethics Committee for a series of breaches in 2015.
