Imo North youths set for 6-month empowerment training

A crop of youths in Imo North Senatorial District of Imo State is set to undergo empowerment and entrepreneurial training, thanks to the senator representing the zone in the National Assembly, Sir Chukwuma Frank Ibezim.

The senator, who noted that unemployment problem with its attendant social consequences has remained a major threat to personal and national development, has packaged a six-month cinematography mentorship programme, as a pilot project in the several of such empowerment bouquets targeted at training youths from the zone.

Participants in the training will be given a starter packs at the end of six-month training.

The senator reiterated his commitment to taming the unemployment rate within the zone by deploying skill acquisition and empowerment for self-sufficiency and continuous training of more participants.

He encouraged the youths to register for the training, stressing that  he expects the beneficiaries to take the training seriously in order to gain from the fast growing economic impact of the cinematography world.

Meanwhile, Distinguished Senator Ibezim, recalled that since coming to the senate a little under a year ago, he has been consistent in attracting dividends of democracy to the people.

Part of his achievements is several ongoing projects and the upcoming youth empowerment and capacity building programmes for various segments of the constituents, including the youths and women.

“It is instructive to note that we are committed to the illumination of several health centres across our zone with solar power, some of which are at various stages of installation; several economic soft loans as well as road infrastructural developments,” he stated.

“In the coming days, we will x-ray all we have been able to achieve while looking forward to doing more. All these formed the content of our interactions.

“It is my expectation that the gospel of our mandate will continue to be propagated down to the grassroots even as we deliver more on our party’s manifesto.

“My commitment to providing dividends of democracy to the good people of Okigwe zone remains unwavering,” Senator Ibezim vowed.
