BREAKING: Respite as kidnapped Ekiti schoolchildren, teachers regain freedom

The schoolchildren, who were last week kidnapped, in Ekiti State, alongside their teachers, have regained their freedom.

 

 

 

 

The victims from Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure Ekiti, were  kidnapped on Monday evening along Emure – Eporo Road while returning to Eporo after closing school.

However, the five students and three female teachers and their driver were reportedly released in the early hours of Sunday.

 

 

 

Confirming their release, an Ekiti government official at Emure Ekiti, said: “The abductees are here, the parents and family members are here. I will give you details shortly.”

 

 

 

 

The state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, had on Saturday assured parents and families of the victims of their release.
