The life of a street cleaner in Abuja who slumped after a heart attack would have been cut short but for the timely intervention of a kindhearted woman who was passing by at the time of the incident.

Blossom Martins, a broadcast journalist, said on the career social network, LinkedIn that the woman is the breadwinner of a family of five.

According to Martins, the woman was rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja where she went into a coma for three days.

She said the quick-thinking doctors at the hospital diagnosed the woman with acute hypertension and said that for her timely interventions, the street cleaner would have died.

“She has been in and out of a coma twice for the past 3 days,

Her BP and stress level was outrageously high hence sending her into a coma…

“The doctors discovered she has blood in her brain so they had to do a quick surgery to remove the blood (doctors in this space will definitely understand this)

“The doctor told me that If I had brought her a minute later than she came in, there are possibilities the blood would have burst and this woman wouldn’t have had a chance to live again..

“Through me, God gave her a 2nd chance to live as the surgery was super successful and she is now recovering at the ICU ward at “National Hospital Abuja.

God willing she will be on her feet again in a couple of days…she wrote on LinkedIn.”

Now, Martins is appealing for financial donations to help the woman after she leaves the hospital.
