Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has said the provision of portable water to the people of the state is among his priorities.
Tambuwal stated this while inspecting the construction of 1.5 million gallons capacity of semi urban water project in Sabon Birni Local Government. The construction is already 75% completed.
The project is among similar ones being executed in 17 local governments of the 23 local government areas of the state.

He assured that the contract for the execution of such projects in the remaining four local government areas would soon be awarded even as he declared that the contract for the construction of 250 boreholes across the state have been earlier awarded and work has reached advanced stage of completion on them.
He urged the people to always guard their projects against vandalization.
The Sabon Birni project is expected to be completed in a month’s time as the all facilities of the project were on the ground while all the required boreholes have been drilled.
