Osun Speaker’s security aides survive road crash

The convoy of the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Egbedun, was involved in a road crash, involving four policemen, who luckily escaped death.
The accident occurred when the backup vehicle of the speaker, who was en route to Inisa, Odo-Otin Local Council of Osogbo, the state capital, for an event, developed a mechanical fault, leading to the crash.
The vehicle was conveying four policemen but none of them was hurt.
Tiamiyu Olamide, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, in a statement, confirmed the accident.
The statement read: “Mr. Speaker’s backup vehicle, carrying some of his security aides, had a mechanical problem that resulted in the crash of the vehicle.

“Although the Speaker was not involved in the crash, the aides who were involved are also hale and hearty, having undergone thorough medical checks.
“Mr. Speaker thanks concerned individuals who reached out to him and assures that he, alongside all of his aides, are safe and have since resumed work.
“Hon. Adewale remains committed to the meritorious discharge of his duties as Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and assures that he will continue to steer the 8th Assembly in the direction of landmark achievements that will make it a positive reference point in the history of our dear state.”
