Some Muslim clerics from Nigeria have held a meeting with the leader of the military coup in Niger Republic, Gen. Abdourahmane Tchiani.
The clerics met Gen. Tchiani, on Saturda in Niamey, the nation’s capital.
The visit was part of diplomatic efforts to restore democracy in the West African nation.
