New Zamfara gov. reads riot act to civil servants

Newly-sworn in Governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Bello Mohammed, on his first day in office, warned civil servants in the state against engaging in partisan politics at the expense of their official duties.

Governor Mohammed, who arrived the Government House, Gusau around 10.30a.m. gave the warning while holding meeting with Permanent Secretaries.

He said he would not tolerate insubordination on the part of the civil servants.

The new governor said as civil servants, they should remain apolitical and should not get themselves involved in partisan politics because such is an act of disobedience to the civil service rules.
