Frederick Nwajagu, the Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, has been arraigned by the Lagos State Government for alleged terrorism.
He was arraigned on nine counts before the high court.
The suspect was arrested in April, 2023 as a result of a video where he threatened to invite the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, members to Lagos to protect the properties of Igbo people, living in the state.
The state government accused Nwajagu of “attempt to do acts of terrorism, attempt to finance an act of terrorism, participation in terrorism, preparation to commit an act of terrorism and meeting to support a proscribed entity.”

According to the Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo, who was represented by Jonathan Ogunsanya, a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Justice, Neajagu violated the provision of sections 403(2) and 12(c), 18, 21, 29 & 12(a) of the Terrorism (Prevention & Prohibition) Act, 2022.
The Eze Ndigbo pleaded not guilty to the charges. Thereafter the court adjourned the case till July 4 for commencement of trial.
