Elepe Senior Secondary, at Igbogbo, along Itamaga – Ijede Road, in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, is presently engulfed in, it was gathered.
The fire was said to be raging in a section of the school and the cause was yet to be determined as at time of filing this report.
Chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Ikorodu branch, Comrade Oluwafemi Fakolade, when contacted confirmed the incident adding that some teachers are on ground mobilising residents to stop the fire from spreading.
Fakolade said that there was urgent need to get fire service to the scene quickly.

Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, was also contacted on the development.
He called back a few minutes later to say that he had mobilised men of the fire service and they were on their way.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, who was also contacted on the sad development, also made contacts with necessary authorities in ensuring that fire service respond quickly.
