International community task Nigeria on peaceful polls

An international organisation, the Economic Peace Centre with headquarters in the State of Israel, has called on the Nigerian government to ensure a peaceful and violence free election across the nation.

The organisation made the call in a statement signed by Ayoob Kara, a former Minister, Communication and Cyber and  Director, Economic Peace Centre, Tel-Aviv, Israel.

The statement was made available journalists, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. Kara said the centre is working to ensure a successful elections in Nigeria.

“We at the ECONOMIC PEACE CENTRE, headquartered in THE STATE OF ISRAEL hereby send this message of encouragement, solidarity and goodwill to the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as you take another step in advancing the cause of democracy in Nigeria on February 25, and March 11, 2023.

“Nigeria’s elections 2023 is undoubtedly of global focus and is expected to raise the bar for advancement of democracy and good governance on the African continent.

“At this decisive moment in your democratic journey, we encourage all voters and umpires to ensure that the elections are peaceful, free, fair, and credible.

“The ECONOMIC PEACE CENTRE, as a global centre for the advancement of Peace and Economy of Nations, is earnestly looking forward to a successful outcome of the elections and working with the new government to further entrench peace through advancement in the economy of Nigeria as a country”.
