About a week after the pronouncement by President Muhamnadu Buhari, that fuel (petrol) should be sold at 125 naira per litre, fuel is still been dispensed to motorists by independent marketers at the old price of 145 naira per litre as at Monday afternoon in Jos.

A visit to most filling stations, observed that  the change in pump price of petrol by marketers in Plateau state have not effected from 145 Naira to the new pump price of 125 naira per litre.

A check by our reporter within Jos and Bukuru metropolis on Monday, gathered that only the NNPC mega station in Jos, have adjusted to the new pump price of 125 naira per litre since pronouncement.

As a result of the change in pump price at the NNPC mega station, along Dongon Karfe road, there is a mini queue of motorists struggling to purchase fuel at 125 naira per litre.

Others said they are aware of the new  pump price, but said till they discharge the old stock of petrol before reversing to the new pump price of 125 naira.

A check at the zonal office of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Jos, gathered that the agency is aware of the development, and have given the petrol dealers a period of grace to sell off the products.
