A former governor of Imo State, Mr. Ikedi Ohakim, has expressed confidence in the ongoing electoral process.

Ohakim was speaking after casting his vote at his polling unit in Umunnuma, Mbano, near Okigwe in Imo State at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday.

He cited early arrival of voting materials, saying: “we have improved tremendously. Voting started at 2 p.m. last time but today we started by 11.00 a.m.”

Ohakim also expressed his optimism that he would emerge victorious in the governorship elections, citing experience as his unique advantage.

“I am confident that I will win. I have the cognate experience to redirect Imo State and steer the ship of Imo State out of danger,” he said. (NAN)
