On the State of the Nation, the church queried the high rate of insecurities, particularly kidnapping, armed robbery across the country.

The COCIN president warned the Federal Government to live up to it responsibility of protecting lives and property.

“I passionately call on government at all levels to remember the day of reckoning. They should bear in mind that this is their primary responsibility.”

On the fight against corruption by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, the church said the fight against corruption has not yielded any positive result.

“The Buhari régime is losing the fight against corruption woefully, and one wonders if government is aware of this or not,” he asked.

Rev. Datiri expressed disappointment at the rate in which fellow clergymen do backstab one another.

“It is sad and very disturbing to contemplate the amount of hatred, bickering, segregation, tribalism, backstabbing and animosity that goes on among pastors in COCIN today, ordained and unordained,” he stated.
