Blind Suleiman Abdulrasheed have been arraigned before Justice S. O. Nwaka, Special Offences Court, Lagos State High Court, Ikeja for indecent treatment and defilement of a child.
The defendant, on 15th September, 2018 at Agege defiled one Rabiu Mohammed, age 13 by penetrating her anus with his penis.
While responding to the alleged charge, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.” I no touch am oh!” He pleaded.
When the judge asked him when he became blind, the defendant told the court that he has been blind for forty years now. “I have been bind for forty years now. I am a beggar with two wives and seven children. I feed my children with it. I no touch Rabiu.”
Considering the defendant’s incapacity, defence counsel asked for a short date.
Justice Nwaka adjourned the matter to 12th, May, 2020 for more hearing.
