APC says shooting against his supporters won’t deter Party’s victory at polls,

Candidate for the All Prohress Congress (APC) in Saturday’s gubernatorial race has alleged that  shootings against his supporters especially in Yenagoa metropolis was a  panic measure by the PDP.

He however assured that APC is sure of victory at the polls .
Chief Sylva spoke shortly after he cast his vote in company of his wife , Alayingi , at his sea side country home , Okpoama, Community in Brass Local Government Area .
The APC flag bearer who alleged that he woke up with a report from his supporters, with pictures to back up , in Yenagoa that an APC member was shot , called on the security agencies to take charge of the situation .
Chief Sylva also alleged that the security agencies are playing on the side of the PDP.

Sylva who lamented that there has been reports of lots of violence in Yenagoa metropolis also alleged that soldiers in Biseni area of the state are allegedly working for PDP .
” Lots of violence in some parts of the state especially Yenagoa
” I woke up with a report of shooting at my supporter in Yenagoa . The pictures are there
” In Biseni community on Yenagoa LGA, soldiers are said to be working for PDP members to snatch ballot boxes .
” The security agencies in Bayelsa state must be called to order . They are playing on the side of the PDP, security personel taking sides with PDP” said Sylva who however expressed confidence that. despite all these hitches victory will still be for the APC .
” We believe that we will be victorious .
“I am confident things that things shall go well for.the APC at the end of day”.
The actions against ” my party members are panic measures taking by a failing party”he added.
Sylva who commended INEC improved facilities however says his units had some.problems that would have almost disenfranchised his people in the Unit that had about 400 voters .
“But we had some issues in Units 3,5 and 9, the register was not uploaded .
“So we had escalated it to INEC in Abuja , and they accepted that it was a careless mistake on their part .
“But the problem is being rectified as voting will be extended . The people would have been disenfranchised if the problem was not quickly detected” he said

Also speaking shortly after casting his vote in the riverine community of
Ayakoro in Ogbia LGA of
Bayelsa state Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, NDDC Managing Director described the election as peaceful

Dr. Ogbuku who cast his vote at Unit 001 Derime polling unit Ayakoro in ward 3, commended the Independent National electoral Commission for a job well done.
Assessing the state of voting in communities around Ayama clan, Ogbuku noted that the process was peaceful and warned trouble makers to stay off the area

The NDDC helmsman who was the Director General of the APC guber election campaigns further assured the people of Niger Delta that he would use his good office to extend the dividends of democracy to the Niger Delta States.

“The renewed hope of President Bola Tinubu administration would touch the people of Niger Delta,” he added.

He commended INEC for the improved facilities even though he a hitch in his Unit.
