However, while the 10th Senate led by Sen. Godswill Akpabio confirmed the former governor of Rivers State as minister, it did not confirm Malam el-Rufai because of an alleged security report.
It was learnt that the former governors arrived at the State House separately.
While Wike came at about 1:40 p.m., el-Rufai entered the Presidential Wing of Aso Rock at about 2:00p.m.
Sources hinted that efforts were being made to ensure that the Senate confirms the former Kaduna State governor.
