According to a reliable inside source, who pleaded anonymity: “President Muhammadu Buhari approved Nwajiuba’s resignation upon resumption from the Eid break May 3, 2023 before travelling out of the countrt.

“Nwajiuba only left the announcement for the President to make, as protocol demands,” the source confided.

That was what the President did today after the Federal Executive Council meeting, where he ordered all all members his cabinet, seeking elective offices in 2023 to resign on or before Monday, May 16, 2022.

He commended Nwajiuba for setting the pace by resigning his office, adding: “I expect other members of this council seeking to be President to resign with immediate effect.”
