Police arrest youth for using VPN to access Twitter in Ibadan

Operatives of the Nigerian Police have started apprehending youths who use Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access microblogging platform, Twitter, after it was banned by the Federal Government, a few weeks ago.

Recall that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, had said that those that still have twitter on their phones and access it via VPNs were using it illegally and will be prosecuted in caught.

To actualise this threat, a young man has been arrested, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for defaulting.
