Osun: Lawyer joins 11 other aspirants to Elende vacant stool

A legal practitioner, Barr. Tiamiyu Sule Adegboyega Omoloye (Esqr), has joined other eleven Princes from the Ayedun Ruling House to occupy the vacant obaship stool of Eko-Ende, a peaceful community in Ifelodun North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), of Osun State.
The stool became vacant on Sunday, March 23, 2023, when the last occupant, the late Oba Rauf Olaniyan Ajiboye joined his ancestors. Oba Olaniyan Ajiboye was from Olaigbo Ruling House.
Checks revealed that Ayedun Ruling House has three Sections; Obatiwajoye, Aromawe and Eesaorun.
And with the departure of the last king from Olaigbo Ruling House, the other two remaining sections of the royal house-Obatiwajoye and Aromaye are expected to produce the next Oba for the sleepy settlement.
So, in an attempt at o facilitating smooth succession process, a family meeting, duly supervised by government officials was held on October 11, 2023.

At the meeting, under the supervision of officials from the LCDA, 12 candidates were confirmed to have obtained forms after being duly nominated by stakeholders from the ruling house.
Among the aspiring Princes is an Oshogbo based lawyer, Prince Tiamiyu Sule Adegboyega Omoloye. He hails from Obatiwajoye section of Ayedun Ruling Houe. He holds a Masters Degree certificate in Law from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Other aspiring candidates, according to the minutes of the family meeting signed by Princes Bamigbade Tijani Omosanjo and Oyekunle Sulaiman, Secretary Ayedun Ruling House and Head of Ayedun Ruling House of Eko Ende respectively are: Princes Jimoh Lateef Bababtunde, Adebisi Yunusa Adeniyi, Adeboye Samuel, Waheed Adekunle, Princes Aroyehun, Oladosu Wahab Abiodun and Oladosu Isiaka.
With the smooth take-off of the selection process, chieftaincy servers are optimistic that, the selection of a successor to the last Oba is likely to be an hitch-free exercise going by the peaceful disposition of the community.
