NLC, TUC go on nationwide strike midnight

The organised Labour, including the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, has declared a nationwide industrial action effective from midnight on November 14, 2023.

Festus Osifo, TUC President told journalists in Abuja on Monday
that the strike would continue until “government at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”

The brutalisation of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, and some of his executives in Owerri, Imo State, on November 1, forms part of the workers grievances besides other pending labour issues in Imo State.
