NDEP to commission Ogbele Phase 11 refinery in March

The Niger Delta Exploration and Production (NDEP) will be commissioning the second phase of the Ogbele Modular Refinery in March.

Since the commissioning of the first phase of the refinery in 2011, it has produced over 124.5 milliion litres of diesel.

The second phase called Train 2, will have five times the capacity of the first, as it will utilise 5,000 barrels per day of crude.

Train 2 will produce five different products, including more diesel, AGO, Dual Purpose Kerosene, DPK, to meet the quality specification for jet fuel, marine diesel, heavy fuel oil, as well as stabilised naphtha.
