Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram terrorist group have attacked Garki community, a suburb of Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
An eyewitness said that around 1:45a.m, the terrorists stormed the community and started shooting sporadically.
According to him the attackers went away with two vehicles and shot one woman who has been confirmed dead.
He said the early hours attack made hundreds of people leave their homes and hide in the bush for fear of being killed or kidnapped.
“As at the moment, I can’t give you full details, but as soon as I return to town I will feed you with all the relevant information you want. It was truly a scary attack,” he said.
The Army Public Relations officer of the 23 Armour Brigade, in Yola, was contacted through a telephone call for more details on the story and did noy respond as at the time of filing this report.
