Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have abducted a man in Kwara State, shooting yet another, who is reportedly in critical condition in hospital.
The incident occurred between Obbo-Aiyegunle and Osi, Ekiti local government area of the state.
Both victims, Julius and Jacob Olarewaju, are siblings and were said to be travelling to Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of the state to see their sick brother in a hospital in Obbo-Aiyegunle.
The suspected herdsmen allegedly attacked their victims’ vehicle and kidnapped Julius, while Jacob fled into the bush but was shot as he fled the scene.
However, he pretended to have died, which made the gunmen to abandon him, thinking he was actually dead.
It was learnt that the abductors have not contacted the family of the victims to make their demand.
