HAPPENING NOW: Buhari, West African leaders discuss Coronavirus

President Muhammadu Buhari and other Heads of Governments of West African States are currently meeting to discuss the current Coronavirus situation.

The meeting, however, is being held via teleconferencing.

In a tweet by Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, on his verified twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad, the meeting is also assessing the impact of Covornavirus pandemic on the ECOWAS sub-region.

His tweets read, “President @MBuhari

 is participating in the Extraordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government of the ECOWAS, the Session is currently holding through teleconferencing to discuss the current COVID—19 situation as well as its impact on the ECOWAS sub-region.”
