A community in Imo State is trying to come to terms with why a woman would bite off her husband’s manhood after a fight with him.
The incident reportedly took place in Umuofuga Umuhu in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area.
According to cousin of the victim, Udochukwu Nwimo, the couple, who has three children (two boys, and a girl), fought on Sunday, May 31, 2020 after the woman’s ex-boyfriend, who had earlier taken her out brought her home late in the night.
“Immediately the woman stepped in, a fight ensued between herself and husband. Some neighbours who came around separated them,” he narrated.
“Then, at midnight, there was a loud shout that woke people up only to discover that the woman had bitten off his penis while he was asleep.
“He was taken to the hospital that night. I wonder if he will regain his manhood because it was badly cut.”
Angry youths of the area handed over the woman, an alleged drug addict, who often fought with her husband to the Police Divisional Headquarters, Aboh Mbaise.
Ibiba Thom Manuel, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), confirmed the incident. He added that the woman also sustained several bites, including a deep cut on her breast.
While Police continues with their investigation, both husband and wife are now receiving treatment at undisclosed hospitals in the area.
