Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari has passed on.
Mallam Kyari’s death came 26 days after contracting the deadly Coronavirus.
A press statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina announced the death of Mallam Kyari in the early hours of Saturday.

The terse statement said, ”The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.
“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”
While praying for the soul of the deceased, the statement said ”funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.”
