Zamfara gov. lays foundation for N9b hotel

Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has laid foundation for N9 billion 5-state hotel to be built through the Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Governor Matawalle said the 100 keys Paradise Hotel, which is expected to be completed within 30 months, would open the state for investment, improve the state’s economy and also provide over 3,000 jobs for the people of the state.

The governor lamented that because of lack of a 5-star-rated hotel in the state, the state is missing many federal and international conferences, workshops, retreats and many engagements which require luxurious accommodation.

“Part of our reason for accepting to embark on this project is our realisation of the fact that in as much as we want to attract foreign and even domestic investors to our state, a safe, convenient and comfortable hotel that will compete with the world class hotels is required”, he said.
