Zainab Aliyu: FG indicts Ethiopian, Egypt Airlines of running drug cartels in Nigeria

The Federal Government, on Wednesday, indicated Ethiopian and Egypt Airlines for allegedly running a drug cartel at International airports across the country.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NDC), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, when she appeared before the Ad-hoc Committee panel Chaired by Sen. Kabiru Gaya, to unravel the circumstances that led to the arrest of Miss Zainab Habibu Aliyu and others in Saudi Arabia over drug crimes.

Dabiri-Erewa disclosed to the Senate that there were other foreign and local airlines operating at the airports, but the two airlines indicted have drug cartels at the International Airports.

Following the revelation, Sen. Gaya urged the officials of NDLEA to boost the number of sniffer dogs in all the international airports across the country.

He applauded Zainab’s father for providing the information sequel to the arrest of his daughter.
