Word Base Assembly annual race gets date

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Word Base Assembly, Okota, Lagos is set to host the third edition of its annual race tagged ‘Okota Hit Run’.

According to the General Overseer of the Church, Bishop Humphrey Erumaka who initiated the event, the purpose of the marathon is to sensitise people on the need for healthy living through exercise. 

“Keeping fit is very essential in life and that is why the church puts the 

race together as part of her corporate social responsibility,” Erumaka said.

The winner of the race will cart home, N100,000 and the first female to get to the finishing line will win, N50,000.

There are also prices for families and men and women over the age of 45 and there would also be so many consolation prizes.

The marathon will take place on April 6, 2019 by 6am and the take off point is Ago roundabout, Okota. 

Organizers of the race have assured that law enforcement officials will be around to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
