Women group mourns departed member, condoles with family

Standup for Women Society (SWS), an all women Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has mourned the death of one of its members, Deaconess Queen Ojochukwu Shaibu Toba, who passed on recently.

Until her sudden death, Queen Toba was the group’s Chairperson for Kogi State chapter of the NGO.

In a moving tribute from the President of the organization, Barr. Deborah Abosede Ijadele-Adetona made available to the media by the association’s National Public Relations Officer, Billie Nwogu, the deceased was to have steadfastly steered the affairs of SWS within the short period she lived, leaving positive marks in the association which cannot be erased in a hurry because she led with wisdom and foresight.

The tribute read in part: “We offer our deepest condolences on the sudden passing of our Kogi State Chapter Chairperson, Queen Shuaibu Toba.

“She bounded faster with people easily. Meeting people of different backgrounds, she was able to build ever-stronger relationships with them at the state and national levels.

“We will deeply miss your immeasurable contributions to the growth of the SWS, especially in Kogi State.We honour your legacy (Queen) and mourn your loss.”

Ijadele-Adetona described her death as a blow to the entire association saying she was a vibrant leader who did her best to bring all members together within the short period she piloted the affairs of the chapter.

She therefore prayed to God to comfort the husband, children and the entire family she left behind, saying, “We love you but God loves you most, so, may your soul, Queen Toba rest in perfect peace.”
