While describing the events leading to Okon’s death, a source revealed that the cause of the argument between Okon and Ofili was unknown. When neighbors heard them shouting at each other, they attempted to intervene but were unable to open the locked door.

Eventually, the landlord and other residents of the building were able to force the door open and enter Ofili’s apartment. It was then discovered that Ofili had allegedly stabbed Okon in the neck and back. The source reported, “We heard them both shouting inside one of the tenant’s rooms and immediately went there. However, the door was locked and our attempts to open it were unsuccessful.

Finally, the landlord and other neighbours were able to force it open and we found Okon with stab wounds on her neck and back.
