The Nigerian Prison Services (NPS), Kano Central Prison, has said that the Intelligence Unit of the prison has arrested one Miss Rifkatu Anthony, from Badawa Quarters in Kano, for trying to smuggle a hard drug, which she reportedly concealed in packs to prison inmates.
In a statement by the NPS PRO Kano Command, DSP Musbahu Lawan, on Sunday, he said the suspect, upon interrogation, claimed that the item was given to her by one Thank-God to deliver to the inmates.

Reacting to the development, the State Controller of Prisons, Magaji A. Abdullah, commended the officers of the command for their efforts in combating smuggling in the State.
