Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has tested negative for Coronavirus.
The result of the test, which carried out on the governor was released, on Monday, by the Nigeria Centre for Disease and Control (NCDC).
There had been apprehension in some quarters in Imo State over the status of Governor Uzodinma for some time now.

But in a terse statement by Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the state, Declan Emelumba, on Easter Monday, the state government said the governor was free of the virus.
The statement read, “The governor of Imo state Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma has tested negative to the Coronavirus infection.
“The result of a test conducted on him came out this morning and confirmed that he is free of the virus.”
