UPDATED: Two killed as robbers attack bullion van in Lagos

Two persons, including a commercial motorcyclist were reportedly killed on Thursday, after armed robbery suspects attacked a bullion van in Lagos. 

It was gathered that the bullion van loaded with cash was driving to a nearby commercial bank, when it was attacked by robbers at  Addo Road, by Blenco Supermarket in Ajah, Eti-Isa Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Eyewitness account has it that the robbers who came in a milk coloured sienna car around 3:00p.m., shot sporadically creating chaos.
The tyres and locks of  the bullion van, were also shot at severally, to gain access to the money.
It was learnt that the robbers shot the commercial motorcyclist, who was passing at the time of the robbery.
A trending video on the robbery showed the said cyclist lying lifeless on the ground and his motorcycle resting by his side.
The robbers reportedly fled with large sums of money  through the lagoon.
Reports has it that the Lekki-Ajah road has become notorious for robbery incidents, while some have attributed the robberies to police absence in the area.
Recall that the police formations, Area N Police Command and the Ajah Police Division, whose jurisdiction covers the area, were attacked  during the #EndSARS unrest.
The Lagos State Police Command was yet to confirm the robbery incident as at the time of this report.
