Unknown men suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two brothers within days in the same a week in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

One of them, an Igbo businessman, Chief Desmond Oko, was kidnapped on Tuesday night, while his brother, Champion, was also snatched by the criminals on Saturday when he went to pay the ransom for his brother.
However, in an ugly twist of fate, while Champion was released, Chief Oko was held back by the kidnappers, who are demanding more ransom.
