Tribunal upholds Udom Emmanuel’s election A’Ibom gov.

The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Thursday, confirmed Mr. Udom Emmanuel of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected governor of Akwa Ibom State.

The Tribunal, therefore, dismissed the case challenging the victory of the governor in the last election filed by Mr. Nsima Ekere, the state’s governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ekere had challenged the election of Governor Emmanuel in the March 2019,  governorship election.

However, the Tribunal did not award any cost.
