Tragedy hit Bomadi in Delta State on Monday when unknown men raped a girl to death at gun point.
The incident that took place along the Bomadi gas plant station has thrown the community into mourning.
The gunmen reportedly forced their way into the apartment where the deceased lived with her family members after her father, Elder Wuduowei, had gone to the hospital to check on his pregnant wife.

The girl was alone in the house when the gunmen struck but was anle to alert her father of the impending danger while the hoodlums were forcing their way into the apartment.However, the man did not inform security operatives of the incident on time.
According to the bereaved man: “My delay in reaching out to security operatives led to her untimely death. Armed robbers attacked my house when I was not around and my daughter tried to reach me to alert me.
“I was in the hospital because my wife is in labour before I could reach the head of vigilantes, who accompanied me down it was already late. We saw her body cold after we saw signs of her being violated by the hoodlums.”
