Managing Director/Editor-in-chief of The Nigerian Xpress, the latest entrant into the Nigerian Media industry, Mr. Steve Nwosu has promised that the newspaper will be fair in its reporting, but will also be fearless as well when disseminating information to the public.

He made the pledge during the official presentation of the newspaper to the public at a well-attended event held at the Colonades Hotels, Ikoyi.

“We will be fair and fearless in our reportage of events in our political, business and social environment. We will be firm in the pursuit of truth, justice and fairness to all, regardless of tongue, colour and status, Nwosu stressed.

He added that the newspaper, whose motto is to deliver “news as it breaks,” would be a friend to all that wish for the good of everyone and a foe to anyone that stands in the way of good for all.

Speaking further, Nwosu said The Nigerian Xpress was birthed out of the desire to bridge the gap between the traditional and online media.

“The public presentation of this paper is an outcome of a dream, which is to contribute our quota to the industry and to the country at large.

“Our intention is to bridge the gap between the traditional media and the new media. We will be very strong online and have an equally strong print edition.

“The slogan of the newspaper is ‘News as it breaks’ and I assure you that we will not disappoint you,” he said.

The event had in attendance important dignitaries from all walks of life.
