A woman, Rachael Walter, 39, who allegedly used a sharp razor blade to inflict a deep cut on her caretaker’s neck over tenancy dispute is standing trial before an Ikeja Magistrates’ court.
The Police on Tuesday charged Walter, who resides at No. 55 Babatunde Kareem St., Iju Ishaga in Lagos, with assault.
But she has denied committing the offence.

The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Rachael Williams, alleged that the accused grievously harmed her caretaker, Mr Akinbowale Olupitan, giving him a deep cut on his neck with a sharp blade, during a tenancy dispute.
Williams told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 13, at 5pm at her residence.
She alleged that the accused and her friends had verbally assaulted the complainant which resulted into a serious argument.
The prosecutor also alleged that the accused then assaulted the caretaker, using a sharp razor blade to inflict a deep cut on his neck.
The offence contravenes Section 173 of the revised Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Section stipulates a three-year jail term for offenders if convicted.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. O. Akingbetose, granted the accused N100,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
Akingbetose ruled that the surety must be gainfully employed and should show evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government and his address verified by the court.
The Magistrate adjourned the case until February 13 for mention. (NAN)
