Tekno goes muddy with semi-nude ladies in ‘Skeletun’

Tekno, Nigerian Afrobeats singer, has put out a new single dubbed ‘Skeletun’ — shortly after the release of ‘Agege‘ and ‘Better (Hope for Africa)’.

The track, released on Tuesday, comes as the singer’s third song for the year, following his protracted hiatus from the music scene on account of his health.

‘Skeletun’, the video of which is yet to be put out, potentially introduces a new dance move and sees Tekno croon about splendour of African women while eulogizing his love interest and being flanked by a bevy of racily dressed ladies covered in brown mud.

There is no gainsaying that the talented singer has — in recent times — comported himself as an artiste poised to seize the industry by the grip, considering the renewed consistency with which he puts out new content.

But in August, Tekno, born Augustine Miles Kelechi, landed in trouble with the Lagos state police and subsequently underwent interrogation on account of his controversial video shoot which involved semi-nude ladies dancing in a transparent truck in an evening traffic.

Although the singer had apologized to persons who had felt offended by the stunt, the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) vowed to make a “scapegoat” out of him to deter other persons who intend perpetrating such “immorality.”

“No single person is bigger than Nigeria. We are going to use him as a scapegoat to send a strong signal that this government does not tolerate nonsense and immorality, but discipline, which is our moral principle,” the agency had said.
