There is hope for Nigeria after all as the governors from the southern part of the country met on Monday to make a series of demands from the federal government.
That is the view of most Nigerians who see the meeting of the governors from the South-east, South-south and South-west as a welcome development.
The governors’ demands include power shift to the south in 2023, enforcement of anti-open grazing laws by all states across all the southern states of the country, an end to security agencies’ raids on their domain without prior notice, among others.
The position of the governors became a talking point on social media on Tuesday with many saying the governors have finally risen from their slumber to confront the federal government mostly controlled by northern since Buhari came to power in 2015.
