The South West zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condoled with the family of the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari, and the President over the latter’s sudden death.

In a statement signed by the South West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Rt. Hon. Karounwi Oladapo and made available to newsmen, on Sunday, the Party regretted the vacuum created by the demise of a very efficient and effective Chief of Staff to the President.

According to the statement, the chairman of the APC South West Zonal Caucus and National Vice Chairman, Pastor Bankole Oluwajana said that the late Mallam Kyari left behind a very big shoe that will be very tasking to find a perfect match to wear.

The statement read, “Abba Kyari brought dignity and candor into the office of the Chief of Staff. He took bullets for the government with perfect equanimity, smiles and calmness.

“He was loyalty personified. He served the President and the Nation in a manner no Chief of Staff has ever done.

“In fact, late Abba Kyari is arguably the longest Serving Chief of Staff to a President in the Civilian Administrations of Nigeria, spending 5 years in office.

“He was a stabilizing factor in the Presidency and our Party, APC, has benefitted immensely from his wealth of experience and exemplary leadership at critical moments.

“The prayers of the entire South West APC leaders and members go to the family he left behind and President Buhari. We pray that God will comfort and strengthen them at this time. May his soul rest in peace. Amen,” the statement read.
