Soludo appoints fmr. ADC guber candidate, Akachukwu Nwankpo, member transition committee
Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State governor-elect has appointed the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, at the last Anambra governorship election, Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo, a member of the Anambra 2022 Governorship Transition Committee.
It is recalled the ADC candidate was the first to throw his weight behind Soludo’s candidacy and even voted for him during the election.
The transition committee consists of 80 members and is expected to liaise with a team set up by the government of Anambra State to ensure a seamless transition from Governor Willie Obiano’s administration to a Chukwuma Charles Soludo-led administration.
Other prominent members of the committee include Mrs Oby Ezekwesili who is the Chairperson, Prof. Benedict Okey Oramah, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, Mr. Steve Nworga, and Chief Osita Chidoka.
Others are Barrister Pat. Ikwueto, SAN, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, Barrister Echezona Etiaba, SAN, and Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, SAN.
The Nigerian Xpress reported previously that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has described African Democratic Congress (ADC), governorship aspirant, Nze Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo, as a ‘good, humane and kind=hearted person.’
Governor Obiano extolled the good virtues of the Okija-born philanthropist, and legal luminary when he hosted Nwankpo to a lavish dinner after undertaking an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing works at the new Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport with Nwankpo where the latter applauded the governor for the progress made in the construction of the airport.
